"A New Year's Kiss in 2021”

I collaborated with Art Director Riko Miyazaki to do a photoshoot in celebration of the end of 2020. Since we wouldn't be partying this year due to Coronavirus, we decided to create what our New Years was actually going to look like. The entire project was a reflection on the times—we ordered our supplies instead of going out to buy it, spent many nights over facetime brainstorming, and Riko art directed the shoot remotely from her home in Hong Kong.

DESIGN CONCEPT

We wondered, what a New Years celebration look like for one? The best part of the night would be interrupted by a laptop screen—a reminder that we haven't had physical contact for the past 8 months—but that won't stop us from trying to have a great time!
